JumpStart for New Special Educators - Program Overview

Navigating the first few years as a special educator can be tough. Really tough. Don’t panic; prepare yourself to meet the challenges of special education instead.

CEC’s popular JumpStart Program for New and Early-Career Special Educators is back and better than ever. This completely online program is designed to equip new special educators with the critical information, resources, peer network, and expert guidance needed for success in the 2022-2023 school year. Some of the most renowned subject matter experts in the field will deliver live, dynamic workshops and Q&A sessions on what you need to know to start your special education career successfully.

In order to take special education support to a new level, CEC has partnered with Let's Go Learn to provide a special education toolkit to enable teachers to write both educationally-sound and legally-compliant IEPs.  Here are just a few of the tools to which you'll be provided immediate access: diagnostic assessments, PLAAFP writer, goals and objectives generator, progress monitoring, parent reports, and much more!

To complete the JumpStart program, participants must attend each live workshop and view at least 4 on-demand sessions.
